The publication of this the final issue of the current volume follows quickly on the heels of a very successful Global Symposium, ‘Community Development in an Age of Uncertainty: Connections and Fragmentations’ sponsored and organised by the Community Development Journal. The Symposium focused on four critical themes: migration, citizenship, identities and belonging; consensus, challenge and conflict; community renewal and sustainability; agency, organising and processes. The London-based Symposium brought together over fifty invited delegates from among members of the Journal's International Advisory Board, the Editorial Board and experts in the field of community development who have made a significant contribution to the field or bring new theoretical dimensions to our thinking about contemporary community development.
